Professionals whose certification has lapsed may regain their certification by completing the re‑certification requirements at any time up to one (1) year after their re‑certification date. After this one‑year grace period, re‑certification is no longer available and a full, new certification application would be required.
What Is Required for Re‑Certification?
To re‑certify, you must complete two components:
1. Earn a Professional Development (PD) Milestone Badge
This demonstrates that you have continued to develop your professional knowledge, skills, and industry awareness.
2. Either:
- Complete the Declaration of Continued Practice, or
- Earn an Experience Profile (EP) Milestone Badge
You may choose the option that best reflects your recent professional activity and the level at which you wish to re‑certify.
