Overview

If you are not receiving emails from The Open Group, Gmail may be filtering them into your Spam folder or another category. To improve delivery, we recommend creating a Gmail filter that recognizes messages sent from @opengroup.org and prevents them from being marked as spam.

Add The Open Group to Your Gmail Safe Senders List

Follow these steps to create a Gmail filter:

1. Open Gmail and select the Settings (gear) icon.
2. Click See all settings.
3. Select the Filters and Blocked Addresses tab.
4. Click Create a new filter.

5. In the From field, enter:

   @opengroup.org
   

6. Click Create filter.
7. Select Never send it to Spam.
8. Click Create filter again to save the filter.

If Emails Are Already in Your Spam Folder

If you find an email from The Open Group in your Spam folder:

1. Open the message.
2. Click Report not spam or Not spam.

This helps Gmail learn that messages from The Open Group are legitimate and can improve delivery of future emails.

Important Information

Creating a filter and marking messages as Not Spam can significantly improve email delivery. However, Gmail ultimately determines how incoming messages are handled based on its own filtering and security rules. As a result, The Open Group cannot guarantee that all emails will always be delivered directly to your inbox.
