Online certification exams for The Open Group are delivered through Pearson VUE’s OnVUE remote‑proctoring system. To begin your exam, you must access your Pearson VUE account through The Open Group website. This article explains how to start your exam and where to get help if you encounter issues.
How to Start Your Online Exam
1. Log in via The Open Group Website
To launch your exam, you must first sign in through The Open Group exam portal:

- Scroll to the bottom of the page
- Follow the link to connect to your Pearson VUE account
This ensures you are routed to the correct exam program.
2. Locate Your Exam Appointment
Once logged into your Pearson VUE account:
- Your scheduled exam appointment will appear on your home page
- When your exam start time arrives, a Start Exam link will become available
- Follow the prompts to launch the OnVUE application and begin check‑in
If You Experience Issues During an OnVUE Exam
For any technical difficulties during an active online exam, contact Pearson VUE Customer Support immediately. They are the only team with real‑time access to your exam session.
