Overview
All exam scheduling for The Open Group certification programs is managed directly through your Pearson online account. This article explains how to access your account, review available exams, and book an appointment.
1. Accessing Your Pearson Account
- Go to The Open Group Certification Portal:
https://www.opengroup.org/certifications/take-exam
(This is Step 1 on the page.) - Read all information carefully, including the booking tutorials.
- Go to Step 2 / Next Step at the bottom of the page and select the link to access Pearson.
Note: You must be logged in with your The Open Group web account to proceed.
2. Connecting to Pearson
When prompted:
- Confirm that you accept the terms and conditions.
- Review and verify your contact details.
- Continue to connect to your Pearson dashboard.
3. Scheduling Your Exam
Once inside your Pearson account:
- Your available exams will appear on your dashboard.
- Select the exam you wish to take.
- Follow the on‑screen instructions to choose a date, time, and delivery method.
- Complete the booking process.
You should receive an email confirmation from Pearson once your appointment is successfully scheduled.
4. Need Assistance?
If you require immediate help with scheduling, rescheduling, or accessing your Pearson account, it is recommended that you contact Pearson Customer Support directly. They have full access to exam appointment systems and can assist with account‑specific issues.

- You will need to provide your Candidate ID, which appears in the top‑left corner of your Pearson dashboard.
