Overview
Some TOGAF® exams are offered in a combined format, allowing candidates to complete multiple levels in a single examination. This article explains what certification you receive when passing a combined exam.
Do You Receive Both Certificates?
No.
When you pass a combined exam—such as the TOGAF Enterprise Architecture Part 1 and Part 2 Combined Examination—you do not receive a separate Foundation certificate.
Combined exams are designed for candidates who want to achieve the higher‑level certification (Level 2) in one step. Because the combined exam already includes the learning outcomes of both levels, only the higher‑level certificate is issued.
Summary
- Passing a combined exam grants Level 2 certification only.
- A separate Foundation (Level 1) certificate is not issued.
- This applies to all combined exams in the TOGAF Certification Portfolio.
