Overview
If you have an appointment scheduled for an OnVUE online‑proctored exam, you must start the exam within the permitted time window. The steps below explain when and how to begin your session.
When to Sign In
- We recommend signing in 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time.
- You have up to 15 minutes after your scheduled appointment time to begin the exam process.
- You cannot start the exam after this 15‑minute grace period.
Check‑In and Waiting Time
After completing the self‑check‑in steps (photo ID, workspace photos, system checks):
- You may wait up to 30 minutes before being connected with a greeter or proctor.
- The greeter will reconfirm your identity and room requirements before your exam begins.
This waiting period does not reduce your exam time.
How to Start Your Exam
- Sign in to your Pearson VUE account via The Open Group Take Exam page using your login ID.
- Go to your list of Purchased Exams.
- Select your scheduled exam and follow the prompts to begin the check‑in process.
