Overview
The Open Group Professional Certification for the Trusted Technology Practitioner Profession (Open CTTP) is an independent, global certification program that validates the skills, knowledge, and experience of Trusted Technology Practitioners. It is designed for professionals who contribute to the integrity, security, and trustworthiness of ICT products and supply chains.
Open CTTP certification is experience‑based. There are no training requirements and no written exams. Instead, candidates demonstrate their competencies through written evidence and a peer review process.
What the Certification Confirms
Open CTTP certification verifies that a practitioner has the capabilities required to support and implement effective Trusted Technology security practices, including those described in the O‑TTPS: ISO/IEC 20243 standard.
Certified practitioners are able to:
- Advise ICT product development, engineering, or manufacturing teams
- Identify and mitigate technology supply chain risks
- Address threats such as maliciously tainted or counterfeit components
- Support the adoption of trusted technology processes across the product lifecycle
This certification is intended for professionals working in roles related to supply chain assurance, secure development, manufacturing integrity, and technology risk management.
Certification Levels
The Open CTTP program offers three levels of certification, reflecting increasing depth of experience, leadership, and professional impact.
Level 1: Certified Trusted Technology Practitioner

Level 2: Master Trusted Technology Practitioner

How Certification Works
Open CTTP certification is based on demonstrated professional experience, not coursework or exams.
