If your Open Professions certification does not appear in the public register—or appears with only minimal information—you can create a Personal Confirmation Code (PCC). This code allows you to share access to your full certification profile with individuals you choose.
This article explains how to set your PCC and adjust your visibility settings.
What Is a Personal Confirmation Code?
A PCC is an optional, user‑defined code that you can give to others so they can view your complete certification details, even if your public visibility is restricted.
This is useful when:
- Your certification is set to Standard or Private visibility
- You want to share your full profile with employers, clients, or colleagues
- You prefer not to make your certification fully public
How to Set Your Personal Confirmation Code
- Log in to your certification profile:
https://certification.opengroup.org/professions/myCertifications - Select the certification you want to update.
- Locate the Register Visibility section.
- In the Your Personal Confirmation Code field, enter an alphanumeric code (up to 30 characters).
- Select the Submit button directly below the code field to save your PCC.
Your PCC is now active and can be shared with anyone who needs access to your full certification record.
How to Adjust Your Register Visibility (Optional)
If you also want to change how your certification appears in the public register:
- In the same Register Visibility section, choose your preferred visibility level by selecting the appropriate radio button.
- Select the Submit button directly below the visibility options to save your change.
Your visibility setting will update immediately.
