Overview
After earning an Open Professions certification from The Open Group, you will receive a digital badge issued through our third‑party provider, Credly, by Pearson. Badge issuance is not immediate, and a short processing period is required.
Badge Issuance Timeline
If you have recently certified:
- Please allow up to 10 business days to be contacted about your badge.
- The Open Group Badge Team will send you an email requesting your permission to share your certification details with Credly.
This email will contain a link you must click to opt in and authorize the transfer of your certification record.
After You Opt In
Once you grant permission:
- Your badge will be issued within 10 business days.
- You will receive an email from Credly (sender: admin@credly.com) with:
- Instructions for claiming your badge
- Steps to set up or access your Credly account
If You Still Haven’t Received Your Badge
If more than 10 business days have passed after opting in, or if you did not receive the opt‑in email, please contact The Open Group Help Desk for assistance.
