The Open Group maintains a public Directory of Certified Individuals. If your name does not appear, it is usually due to certification processing timelines or your visibility settings. This article explains the most common reasons and how to resolve them.
If You Recently Passed an Exam
If you have just completed an examination, your name will not appear in the directory immediately.
Here’s what to expect:
- Exam results typically take up to 6 working days to be processed by The Open Group.
- Once processed and accepted for certification, The Open Group will email you with instructions on how to complete your certification.
- You will only appear in the directory after:
- You complete the certification steps, and
- You set your visibility preference to Public
Until these steps are completed, your name will not be listed.
If You Are Already Certified
If you are already certified but still cannot see your name:
- Your directory entry is likely set to the default privacy setting, which is Private.
- You must log in to your certification account and update your visibility settings to Public.
