Overview
If your exam voucher code is not being accepted when scheduling an exam through Pearson VUE, it is usually due to one of a few common issues. This article outlines the steps to troubleshoot voucher problems and explains important rules about voucher usage.
Troubleshooting Steps
1. Verify the Voucher Code
- Ensure you are entering the exact code as provided.
- We strongly recommend copying and pasting the code to avoid typos.
2. Confirm You Selected the Correct Exam
- Vouchers are exam‑specific.
- Make sure the exam you are trying to schedule matches the exam associated with your voucher.
3. Check the Voucher Type
- Pearson VUE vouchers issued by The Open Group always begin with the prefix OG.
- If your voucher does not match the expected format, it may not be valid for Pearson VUE.
Important Voucher Rules
Voucher Can Only Be Used Once
- Each voucher code is valid for one exam appointment only.
- If you need to reschedule, you must cancel your existing appointment first.
- If you fail to cancel and do not attend, the appointment is marked as a no‑show, and the voucher is considered used.
Voucher Expiry
- You must redeem and take the exam before the voucher expiry date.
- Voucher validity cannot be extended under any circumstances.
If the Issue Persists
In exceptional cases, The Open Group may be able to issue a short‑term replacement voucher for an administrative fee.
