Examination vouchers issued by The Open Group must be redeemed and used before their expiry date. Because Pearson VUE test centers and online proctoring slots can fill up quickly, it is important to schedule your exam as early as possible.
When to Book Your Exam
We strongly recommend booking your exam as soon as you receive your voucher. Waiting until close to the expiry date may limit your available scheduling options.
Scheduling Tips
1. You Can Schedule Up to 90 Days in Advance
Pearson VUE allows candidates to book exam appointments up to 90 days ahead, giving you flexibility to choose a suitable date and time.
2. Book Early for Preferred Dates
If you need a specific time or day:
- Schedule early to secure your preferred slot
- Be aware that availability decreases during peak periods and near voucher expiration dates
3. Use the Voucher Before It Expires
Your voucher must be:
- Redeemed before the expiry date, and
- The exam must be taken before the voucher expires
Expired vouchers cannot be extended or reused.
